Lot no. 201-215 belong to the collection of the Archive of Himalaya Research, Freiburg, Germany. The founder, an ardent climber, was not only fascinated by the mountains of Nepal but also by the rich culture of the inhabitants which he documented and collected. Among these artifacts are some Tibetan buddhist figures as well which he acquired between 1967 and 1972.

Parmi les 148 lots de cette vente d’Art himalayen et chinois, on peut noter la présence de 34 statues en métal provenant du Tibet et du Népal (lots 201 à 234), des objets rituels, des bijoux, des manuscrits et des couvertures en bois (lots 256-257), ainsi que des thangkas (lots 261 à 267).
